FNBM-CharityChampions-FINALWACO, Texas (January 20, 2015) — The executive directors and board members of the six 2014 First National Bank McGregor Charity Champions nonprofits will begin executive leadership training this Thursday, January 22, 2015. Leaders from CASA of McLennan and Hill Counties, AVANCE Waco, Generations Adoptions, Family Abuse Center, Waco Habitat for Humanity an360 Solutions logod Meals & Wheels will meet at 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Ridgewood Country Club in Waco. “Organizational Leadership” is the first of seven courses led by 360 Solutions, an internationally renowned professional development provider. Media members are invited to attend and cover this interactive training anytime 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on January 22.

“We are thrilled with this portion of our Charity Champions program,” said FNB McGregor’s president, David Littlewood. “By covering costs associated with this executive leadership training, we hope to provide valuable knowledge that will benefit these nonprofits for years to come.”

The Charity Champions program was launched by FNB McGregor in 2014 to celebrate the bank’s 125th anniversary. Six winning 2014 Charity Champions were chosen from 29 nominated organizations. Each was the focus of a marketing campaign funded by FNB McGregor, including broadcast, print and web advertising and social media efforts. A video about the organization was played and its representatives honored at 2014 Baylor University football games played in McLane Stadium.

“The goal of partnering with Baylor University was to achieve maximum public awareness of the missions of these charities,” said Littlewood. “And now we want to give them skills and training for which the value will far outweigh any one-time donation.”

“I am really looking forward to attending the executive leadership training by 360 Solutions to help my nonprofit achieve its goals,” said Susie Wimberly, executive director of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of McLennan and Hill Counties.

CASA volunteers advocate for children caught up in the state’s foster care system. Wimberly said she hopes to gain insights at the executive leadership training on ways to raise more financial support and recruit more volunteers, so that her organization can serve more children.

360 Solutions expects 50 attendees at its January 22 training. Charity Champions leadership will be trained for half a day, once a month through July. The next session is titled “Personal Leadership” and will meet February 26.

“We are thrilled to partner with FNB McGregor to invest in the Charity Champions board members through executive leadership training courses. This is a unique opportunity for them to work on strategies to achieve their organizations’ missions, at no cost to them,” said 360 Solutions CEO and Founder Chip Wilson. “Training like this is often cost prohibitive for nonprofits, and we want to give this to them, because they are always giving to others.”
