This year’s guest speaker was Dr. Brian Fikkert, Professor of Economics and Community Development and Founder/President of the Chalmers Center for Economic Development at Covenant College. He is co-author of the best-selling book, “When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty Without Hurting the Poor.”
Mission Waco provides Christian-based, holistic, relationship-based programs that empower the poor and marginalized.
